Russia built a new series of Aircraft Carriers and, rather than cutting up their old ones and selling them for scrap metal, sold them off as is. All three of them ended up in China. A TianJin businessman bought one of them and is using it as part of a military theme park. The carrier is anchored in TianJin, and is undergoing some refitting while the park is being built. The park will contain buildings and physical contexts for veiwing history, for playing war games and other things. |
