| This is Jeannie Yip Pui Hang, the little girl who sings the songs on CD No. 1 of our "Little Kindergarten" series, and the owner of the most delicious little child's voice that we have ever heard. It is a loss to the world that Jeannie didn't record more songs when she was still a small child. The talent is still there, of course, but that precious little child's voice is gone forever. |
| Jeannie's Little Kindergarten songs are masterpieces of children's music. Many of them have already become classics - the standard against which other children's songs must measure themselves. It is with good reason that her songs increase in popularity year after year. |
|
It can often take 7 or 8 hours to record a song in a studio, and even experienced performers often need 10 or 15, or even 20 attempts, to make a song turn out well. This little professional never needed more than 3 takes to get it right! |
| She wasn't intimidated by the studio, the engineers, the technology, or anything else. Little Jeannie, at 6 years of age, walked into the recording booth, put on the headphones, and showed everyone how it was done. The sound engineers at the recording studio called her "SuperGirl"! You can see the determination in her face. The Bear Choir had another very talented little member at the same time and when these two were practicing in the Bear Music Center, the sessions should have been recorded for posterity. It was like watching a duel between miniature Titans - this little kid wasn't going to be outsung by anybody! |

The photo on the right is of Jeannie a couple of years later, holding her bouquet of flowers in one hand, and in the other she holds the highest child's music award in Hong Kong - for the best child singer of the year! After receiving the award, she went out to take part in a musical production to sing the best children's song of the year - with a stage-full of pop stars. The video of this performance is priceless; she looks more professional than the pros - as if she'd been doing it all her life. |

Today, Jeannie is a sweet, shy 15-year-old who is overflowing with talent. She is still a member of the Bear Choir, and we're all very proud of her! Jeannie is now preparing for a new Bear career as a disk jockey on our Bear Internet Radio (along with Cymie, Joanna and Alice), and she wants to work on our Bear music productions as well.
