The Bear Children's Choir of Hong Kong is one of the world's best-kept secrets.
They recorded their first CD in 1985,
and have made over 100 albums since then in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. They have become hugely popular in Hong Kong and Asia, with
their CD sales totalling well into the millions.
These little singers are highly gifted, and their sound is extraordinary. It is not 'Chinese' as most Westerners might know it, but an international pop style that appeals to children and adults of all nationalities. Their albums are a genuine contribution to the world of music, and they very much deserve their increasing exposure to international audiences. |

The group is unique in the world so far as we know. Our little Bears are not really a 'choir', but rather a children's pop group specalising in children's songs, and their recordings cover a wide range. Their concerts and TV specials are done by many different combinations of the children, and their recordings are performed by varied small groups or as solos and duets with choral back-up. |

During the last three years, these little professional performers have staged 20 major concerts plus numerous smaller ones. They played the lead in
Hong Kong's biggest Millennium Celebration, with a live concert for an audience of 150,000 people,
which was telecast worldwide. They have done many TV Specials and educational TV projects and are active in the local schools, teaching other children that learning music is easy and fun. Many of their children's songs have become definitive classics, with a following that increases year after year. Some Bear albums are part of the Education Department's Music and English curriculum, and several are used as the foundation for TV and Radio Children's Programs. They have had pop hits as well. They had Hong Kong's best top-ten hit last year, singing the song 'Silly Kid' with Andy Lau. |

These wonderful children with sweet voices are already an institution, and
their accomplishments are substantial. They have touched the lives of
millions of people, and their musical efforts have brightened the day for
countless numbers of small children and adults, in many countries.
Quality is a hallmark of the Bear Children's Choir. Everything they do, from production to packaging, is first class. The group invests heavily in the production of even very simple children's songs, and their staff includes the best music arrangers in Hong Kong. The children are taught choreograpy, given voice training and music lessons, and the investment is apparent in the results. |
