Pu Tong Hua Series II - Mandarin - Ages 4 to 10
Two prize-winning companion sets designed as the perfect fun way to teach Mandarin to Chinese children - through songs performed by other small children. The content is designed and the lessons instructed by experienced Mandarin teachers. Songs from these series have been selected as the theme songs and program foundation by RTHK (Hong Kong Radio TV) for their "Mandarin Mini-Stage" program. These sets have proven to be a big hit with adoptive families of Chinese children, and are especially popular in North America with members of FCC and similar groups.
Most tracks have a brief Cantonese situation dialogue, followed by lovely music with melodious lyrics by our little Bears, and recitation in Mandarin. Each set includes tongue twisters and little jokes to entertain the children while they are learning. Included in each set is a lovely booklet with 80 pages of color pictures as well as Romanized pin-yin to help children and parents learn correct pronunciation. Each CD has 45-50 minutes of dialogue and songs. The set also includes a 24-page game booklet.
Pu Tong Hua 1 & 2 belong to the same language series, aimed at helping children to understand and practise the language in an interesting way. All the songs are different, with contents as follows:
Vol. 1-3 (Box set 1)
* about children's school life, children's family and summer holidays
* dealing with actual things in daily living
* simple wording, suitable for younger children or beginners
* 3 CDs with a song book & an exercise book
* An index including narration and songs

Vol. 4-6 (Box set 2)
* about how to be a good child, protect the natural environment, loving their city and learning to be a good citizen
* teaching about good behaviour
* longer wording, suitable for a second level learner
* 3 CDs with a song book and a narration book
* narration and songs in a separate index
