The Bear Choir's 2 Little Kindergarten Series are Chinese cultural treasures, each as good as the other. Many of the songs in these sets are already classics, and their artistic excellence has never been equaled. With inspired musical arrangements and some of the world's most gifted little voices, many of the albums in this series were 'category-killers' when they were first released. Many have become definitive classics, and some are legend. The Bear Choir's Little Kindergarten Series CDs are the standard against which all Chinese children's music must measure itself.
These two companion sets of endearing children's music are so outstanding that customers are equally divided between Cantonese and Mandarin/English families - even though the lyrics themselves are in Cantonese. All our customers write to tell us that their little girls 'get out the scarves and dance' when they hear this music.
Each set contains 55 lovely children's songs, traditional and new, that give kids enjoyment and inspiration. The melodies are done with great digital mastering, and the sets include a beautiful 112-page book in full colour, with all of the lyrics and simple musical notes.
Little Kindergarten Series II
The first album in this series is by the same children at age 10, and is itself worth the price of the set. The next two albums are by these same children with choral back-up by some little Bears, and offer beautifully sophisticated children's music. Many of the songs in this Series are done to familiar Western tunes like Red River, My Darling Clementine and Oh, Susannah, and cover a wide range of traditional children's classics as well as new songs - including the Bear Choir's outstanding Country & Western tune. Contagious melodies, creative arrangements and gifted little voices combine to delight children and charm adults.
