The Sounds of ABC - Songs and Games for Learning
English Pronunciation.
This series was designed to teach proper English letter sounds and
pronunciation to all Chinese children. It uses music and songs to teach
correct pronunciation, and is beautifully done. The CD content
is hosted and instructed by experienced English (non-Chinese) teachers.
It contains letter theme songs and comprehensive pronunciation of all the
letters of the alphabet, in both words and songs. There is some dialogue
in both Cantonese and English at the beginning of each letter section.
As well, there are many illustrative sentences and rhymes to enhance children's
memories of the sounds. This is a very useful language
tool for all Chinese elementary schools and students.
The set includes a nice booklet with 80 pages of lyrics and creative drawings
in full color, and a game book with 26 creative games for children to learn
word sounds by playing the games.
